Coaching Work

“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek”- Joseph Campbell

As young men, we weren't given the tools to navigate life's curve balls, and for the most part, we don't have spaces where we can let our guards down. Without the tools or support, we are left to go through life alone and are told to pull up our bootstraps. This creates a population of people who have disconnected from what they are feeling, and ultimately from who they are.

My work incorporates many different methodologies including somatic experiencing, internal family systems, Indigenous teachings, Jungian psychology, and men’s work.

My work is heavily influenced by the study of trauma and how energy is stored within the body, so my approach is heavily body-based. Especially as men, we have become quite disconnected from our bodies and our emotional experiences, so much of the work involves rekindling the connection to the felt sense, and addressing what arrises from there.

I offer individual sessions as well as longer coaching containers.

  • "I have gone to counseling before but have not experienced growth like I have with Blake. He’s not a therapist telling you what to do or how to be happy, he’s someone who creates a space for you to figure these things out for yourself."

    Vance D.

  • "Meeting for an hour a week helped me come to terms with what I was working through. Among other things we worked on being patient with yourself, loving yourself, and finding peace and happiness in the present moment”

    Rob W.

  • “Working with Blake has helped me tremendously. His approach to helping people is very unique. He showed me that in order to change the external problems going on in your life, you have to first fix what’s wrong on inside."
